Pupil Premium Grant

Arkengarthdale C of E Primary School was allocated £2492 Pupil Premium funding for the academic year 2012 – 2013. We used the money to support the children’s teaching and learning by employing teaching assistants in both KS1 and KS2 classes. Our teaching assistants also worked with small groups and individual students to address specific needs and to accelerate their progress. The allocation of this funding helped to improve academic achievement and personal development including independence, confidence and positive attitudes. As a result, children’s behaviour and achievement is very good.

In 2016-2017 there are no Pupil Premium children attending the school.

2014/2015 and 2015/2016

In 2014-2015 and in 2015-2016 the school received £1300 and £1320 respectively. During both these school years the funding was used to provide some 1:1  and small group support for maths with a focus on providing challenge for the more able.

In 2013/2014 the school received an increased sum. This additional funding was allocated for improved access to one-to-one support for targeted children. A specific teacher was employed for this.
